Man City boss Pep Guardiola accuses UEFA and FIFA for the hectic schedules exhaust the players which require frequent rotation.

Football during the times of Covid-19 has become a serious challenge for both the organizers and the footballers as well.

First of all, the absence of supporters inside the stadium prevents the players from pushing in with extra efforts. Playing inside an empty stadium has become a habit for the players. Hence, football in training and the actual game doesn’t make much difference.

The season started late and too many competitions made it hard for the players to keep up with their fitness. Several players went out injured and that affected both clubs and International teams.

Pep Guardiola accuses UEFA and FIFA for exhausting the players

Pep Guardiola alleges UEFA and FIFA for exhausting the players with hectic scheduling. Too tight schedules like playing three games in a week make the players less effective.

The players didn’t receive any week off due to the tight scheduling of club football and International breaks. Pep Guardiola made remarks like players aren’t a machine.

According to Guardiola, the hectic schedule makes it hard for the players both mentally and physically. And it becomes impossible for the players to compete at the top level while keeping their level high enough.

Man City and their Quadruple Pursuit

Manchester City still has SEVEN Premier League games left in the season. They have managed to stay at the top of the league with 14 points clear to 2nd placed Manchester United.

The city will play the EFL Carabao Cup Final against Tottenham Hotspur; and still in the FA Cup Competition and UEFA Champions League as well.

Man City will face Borussia Dortmund in UCL Quarter Finals and Chelsea in FA Cup Semi Finals.

If things go alright for the team, Man City will have to play around 15 games before the end of this season. Man City should focus on making the best out of the next few Premier League games; which can make them choose the best team for Cup competitions.

The Rotation strategy of Pep Guardiola

Pep Guardiola used a ‘Player Rotation’ strategy to make the best out of the entire squad. He understands that every player wants to play every game, but the energy won’t make the best out of the players.

Like even after a win against Leicester City in Premier League, Pep Guardiola is certainly confident that he can field fresh players against Leeds United.
